Boondocking in Mexico?

There were also two incidents that were posted on this forum last winter, in one the couple was stopped in their motor home and made to unhook their jeep and it was stolen. In the other a couple who also post on this forum had their pickup carjacked outside of Patzquaro. In both cases, some folks on this forum blamed the victims. I noted in the carjacking case that the same night there was an armed carjacking in Seattle, but I don't think the victim felt better about it. We travel in Mexico and don't plan on stopping anytime soon, but it irks me to have people deny that bad things happen to people in Mexico. They demand to see copies of police reports, etc. when in all likelihood reports don't exist or have been "lost" in the police station. I could go on but have better things to do, like get ready to leave for Mexico on October.
