No news from the USA but effective Aug.9 fully vaxed US citizens can enter Canada. So vehicle travel to Mexico has not changed. Good news for Americans wanting to drive to Alaska.

I can't figure out this either. There is a town near me, - Point Roberts WA. It's located on a tiny peninsula in BC Canada, a completely isolated pocket of the US territory that has land border with Canada only. I used to go there to pick up parcels from Amazon.com and other US retailers, better choice and prices than Amazon.ca, free shipping, private post office is charging a small fee, always a line of Canadians there. I usually spend less than 30 minutes in this "pocket America". They probably don't have a testing facility, and if Canada will accept Canadian PCR test done before the trip, $200 cost would render the whole thing useless anyway.
