Bringing a gun, staying out of trouble in Canada

Make sure you obtain and fill out the US Customs form (I don't remember the number) that proves you took the firearm OUT of the US, otherwise you might have a problem when you return. I think you're really supposed to have that form with any item over a certain value (camera gear, etc.) but my shotgun was the only thing I was asked about.
