CA 199 from Crescent City, CA to Grants Pass, OR

This our most direct route north from Mendocino, CA to Eastern WA. I have talked with with some people that have driven this route and said that I will not enjoy looking at the rear of my MH rounding...

Since you are already coming down the coast on US101, it makes more sense to return via US199. Then you are in a good position to continue up the Rogue River to Crater Lake.

Last time I looped through the area, I came SW on OR62, wander around south of Medford, cross to the coast at Gold Beach (on a non-rv road), and then returned to US97 via Cape Blanco, OR42, OR138. I've only driven US199 as far as Patrick Creek.

Both 62 and 138 are nice ways of crossing the Cascades.
