Calif 1 from Big Sur to San Simon?
I guess if could look this up, but am lazy. Is the road open through the fire at Big Sur. I am traveling south. Thanks in advance.

- I took my 40' bus and 20' toad along PCH1 from Monterey, CA to to Morrow Bay, CA and highly recommend the drive. Take it slow, use the frequent pull offs if you are holding up traffic and take all the time you need. It's beautiful and not to be missed.
Sorry to get off the "road open" topic. - Just because it is open does not mean you should take it. That stretch of SR1 is very beautiful. It is also filled with winding, tight, narrow turns. Great drive in a passenger car, not fun in a big motorhome or when pulling a large trailer or fifth wheel.

- Opened it last week. Check the CalTrans web site just before leaving.
