Also what happens if the camper is sold in Canada and has a 10 year permit?
If Mexican aduana bother to do a cross-check on the VIN and there is an uncancelled 10-year TIP showing, the new owner MAY have trouble getting into Mexico.
Given that the TIP is supposedly very difficult to cancel by post, many snowbirds cancel their 10 year TIP when they leave every year even if they intend returning the next year.
