I never understood the advantage of the 10 year permit. Cancellation has always been an issue due to the sale of an rv after leaving Mexico, an accident that has totaled the rv, windshield replacement, etc. You still have to stop at the border anyway.
Too many stories of the above to count. This issue is all about a difference in the interpretation of the law between Banjercito and aduana and the issuing of a permit for a vehicle, camper or rv that previously was never considered. It is a temporary import without a permit.
