So, if I did my math correct. 3.78L in a gallon @ .99 a liter = $3.78 gal. With an exchange rate of $1.45, that will make a gallon of gal roughly $2.60, or 80% more than what I paid yesterday.
Does everything cost significantly more in Canada, or are certain commodities just more expensive?
Realistically, what is a good % to figure above what I would spend here in Texas, so I know how much to budget for? I know even our cost of living is low compared to other states, so it might not be a realistic comparison to other parts of the country.
$2.60 US for a gallon of gas in Canada is a good price.
The average price for gas in Oregon is $2.14. Traveling out of Texas, the price will be higher everywhere else.
With the exchange rate at the rate it is now many US residents will be going to Canada this coming year.
