I was looking at Whistler campground, and is shows that it is insanely huge with over 700 campsites, but the pics from google earth make it appear to be spread out and fairly well wooded.
So the questions is....even though it is a really, really big campground, do you still have a certain amount space between sites and still retain a certain amount of outdoorsy/back to nature experience, or is it more like camping in a parking lot? I know this is a subjective question.
Been there, as I noted when I responded to you earlier. The full hookup sites are up front and close together. Very close. The dry sites are spread out with a lot of room in between. The extreme closeness of the hookup sites is why we opted to ditch our waiting list turn and stay with the dry site as pictured in my post with the link.
We go to Whistlers at least four times a year. With or without hookups the sites are always 75 to 100 feet apart with trees all around. There's more bush between sites at the non hook up sites but still lots of room at the FHU sites.
