We are considering taking the plunge and going big this summer. Since we're already thinking about Wyoming or Montana...what the heck. We're about 2000K miles, one way...so I really only have one ...

I was looking at Whistler campground . . .do you still have a certain amount space between sites and still retain a certain amount of outdoorsy/back to nature experience, or is it more like camping in a parking lot? I know this is a subjective question.
