The ferry from Souris PEI is 5 hrs. There are 5 inhabited islands. I do not believe they allow boondocks no but the tourism office would know best.
I think there are 5 or 6 campgrounds. Gros Cap has a great view and laever open sites still not huge. Very nice park. We are at Camping Sillons. Packed like sardines but right on an amazing beach. Another choice for on the beach would be Camping Belle Plage. Since we love the beach we would put up with tight quartery and come back here. As a matter of fact we just extended our stay by 3 days.
