- pauljExplorer IIWere you the one asking about border crossings? Which side of Glacier are you on?
If you are on the east side (St Mary), then you can continue north, visit Waterton, and take AB 22 to Longview, west into Kananaskis Country, and on to Canmore.
But if you are on the west side, US93 continues on to BC93. BC3 takes you back over the divide, letting you take AB22 north. Or stay on 93 to Radium, and enter the parks through Kootenary. There are several BC parks along this route, as well as camping the Nat Park. 93 continue north through Banff to Jasper, with more camping and great sights.
When you enter the Canadian Nat Parks you get a newspaper outlining sights and lodging options for the whole set. - Powder_pigExplorerBanff national park is a very large park so more information from you would help. If you want to spend your time in Banff townsite, a very busy place in the summer, then Tunnel mtn is a good choice. If you want to spend your time in and around Banff but don't need full services then Johnstone canyon or Two Jacks is a good choice. If you don't care about Banff townsite but want to see Lake Louise, take a day trip up to Columbia icefields or to Morraine lake, or want to take a day trip to Yoho national park then Lake Louise is a good choice. If you want a quiet but totally unserviced campsite part way up from Lake Louise towards Jasper then one of the smaller campsites up the Parkway like Waterfowl lake or Wilcox creek is a better choice. Check out the Canadian National Parks website for more specific information about the many campsites in the park. There are choices outside the park but they are not the best unless you wish to spend time at the Calgary stampede or in the Kananaskis area East of the park.
- ReneeGExplorerI'd suggest Two Jack Lake or Main - click here for more information.

- netjamExplorerTunnel Mountain (Gov't campground) is really the best choice. Walking distance to town, nice park etc. Notcheap but a good choice.
- rr2254545ExplorerNot much to choose from outside the park that is close. Take a look at the national parks reservation site.
