Canadians and Americans living in Mexico

I worked with a man whose daughter fell in love with a mexican national while on a spring break trip in Cabo. They ended up getting married and lived in Cabo where the groom's businesses are located. During the several trips my coworker took to Cabo to see his daughter, he and his wife fell in love with the place. He was at retirement age so they ended up retiring to Cabo and opened up a charter boat service with the son-in-law.

I lost touch with him but wonder if they are still down there.
