I read these posts with interest----I went through the same process last year--I sent all the information in that they should have required---we went back and forth by registered mail for 12 months---which is not cheap from Canada as well as getting documents notarized-----they kept wanting more information AND they wanted the new owners registration papers---which I was lucky to aquire---anyway long story short----I gave up on the whole stupid process.
We went back into Mexico this year---I took the truck in under my name and my wife took the new 5th wheel in under her name----I also cancelled the 10 year TIP when we came home.
When I get my passport re-newed in a couple more years I'll see if it works for me with a new passport number.
Very frustrating!!
