Caravaning is totally not for me/us.....now.
I find it hard to believe that all karavanners are rude , wearing gang colors, lol. Just normal folks.
I doubt most are rude, particularly when they are not in the group. Obviously the gang colors was a joke, but pretty helpful if you are trying to avoid slow moving groups who don't seem to be aware that there are others out there who paid to enjoy the same Campgrounds, attractions, and even roads.
As for the slow driving and inconsiderate behavior on the road, it's a big problem, and far too many RVers drive like they are the only thing on the road. We stopped driving the main roads in the Kenai on Friday nights, and the afternoon and evening on Sunday, after sitting for hours in traffic caused by wrecks. Both were fatal wrecks caused by passing slow moving traffic. There are so many local drivers trying to enjoy their weekend, and many can be pretty filled with road rage at the sight of any RV, after the dozens of times they spent behind grammy and Pappy, who are enjoying the view, and wouldn't dream of dealing with the slow moving road train they created. I even watch a guy darn near kill himself in a car, as he narrowly avoided a head on, passing my motorhome about an hour south of Anchorage. I was actually speeding by 6-7MPH, with nobody else behind me.
Sorry for all this "bashing" or as most of us call it, reality.
