Case illustrates Canada's zero-tolerance gun policy

Retired military, concealed weapons permit, knows the gun laws, forgot, when asked at an international border crossing, he put a loaded hand gun in hi wife's car center console? He needs to have it taken away. Total irresponsible, haphazard gun owner. Does his wife have a CCW? What would have happened if she had been pulled over in her home state and popped open the console to get her insurance or registration and the cops saw the gun? You don't store loaded guns in car consoles and then forget you put it there. If he didn't forget then he lied to law enforcement about having a loaded gun and that ain't good. No sympathy here.
