Charge cards and foreign transaction rates
Please, if you are going to comment, read the posting first. It is about a fee that is charged in addition to Annual card fees or Exchange rates.

In Canada almost ALL charge card companies charge a 2% foreign transaction fee. When or if you question it, they make it sound like it' a law. It's not and there is one that does NOT charge. The Amazon.ca Visa, issued by Chase, has NO foreign transaction fees.
It doesn't amount to a lot of money, unless you are spending a bundle but if you happen to be traveling to Europe or Asia, then that could be a significant dollar figure.
Were I living in the US, I would check to see if Amazon.com has a similar card.
