Charleston,SC to Montgomery,AL

I have made that drive several times. As Second Chance said, I too hate the Atlanta traffic so I drop down to Savannah and take I 16. Then, around Warner Robbins or Macon I find a route south to Columbus, GA. and then cross into Alabama at Phoenix City, up to Opelika/Auburn, hit I-85 and on in to Montgomery. We live just outside of Montgomery and I prefer the route I outlined. I have taken the route through Atlanta and survived, but I come out frazzled.
