Check Points

As you leave Sonoita there is normally someone in the middle of the road asking for money for the Red Cross. Rumor has it that sometimes it is the Red Cross & other times it is the locals collecting beer money.

Close to Penasco it is hit or miss for a military checkpoint, mostly they are not there & the last couple of times they waved us on. If they do check your vehicle they can very thorough so make sure you don't have any empty shell casings etc. from shooting. Most of the military wear masks.
