22 point maintenance check

We bought a class A unit in October 2012. So I decided to see if I could get the 22 point checkup on the unit in October 2013. I called the service department where we purchased the unit and they said that they were not sure that they did anything like that. They then transferred me to someone else and they took may name and phone number and said that they would call me back. That was 3 weeks ago.

This was hard to believe due to the great service we got in the buying process. Then again after we had a couple of minor problems later the service was great.

I don't know what happened but this is not what we expected since we chose a dealership 200 miles away from home and passing 2 other Good Sam retail locations on the way. We have had bad experience with the then Camping World closest to home.

Has any one had good experience concerning the 22 point maintenance checkup on their RV?

  • We got the 22 point inspection done today with no problems.
The trick is to call the elite concierge service and then the camping world service center will call you.

The number is on the back of your elite membership card.

I thank those who helped us find the correct method and those that performed the service.
  • Travelers,

I can confirm that both the Elite level of Good Sam Club and any Good Sam Roadside Assistance membership will honor a free, one time per year, 22 point inspection of your RV at Camping World. If you have any questions on the process or to set up an appointment, please call your local Camping World store for more information.

Thank you for your membership and travel safely,

The ad says for Good Sam Roadside Assistance Customers. It says nothing about having purchased an RV from Camping World and states unlimited inspection. It does say at Super stores only. So the way it reads is open to all the people who have Good Sam Roadside Assistance.

Someone posted the link about the inspection through GSRA. If you purchased an RV and got the Elite Membership, then you also get it for free. The OP never did specify where they bought the RV, so it's unknown to where they heard about the 22 point inspection, Elite membership or through GSRA.

  • Hello 70Olds,

Thank you for your inquiry! If you purchased your RV in 2012 from Camping World, then you are entitled to a free 22 point inspection through the service department. All they have to do is schedule it for a time that is good for you and the service manager will make sure it's entered in correctly. You can also call your Elite Concierge service team for assistance with this. Their number is 888-707-7911. Please let me know if you need anything else at all and have a good day!
