I haul a 36' fifth wheel from the Trenton area to OBX every Thanksgiving. The CBBT is a piece of cake.
The "Eastern Shores" route is the best. I take 295 or the NJTpk over the Delaware Memorial Bridge, pick up I95, get off at Exit 4A to Route 7, which becomes Rt 1S. Follow that to Rt 113. 113 rejoins 13 in Pocomoke City, VA. 13S over the CBBT, then pick up I64S. Take that to Rt 168 (exit 291B). Rt 168 runs right into Rt 158, which takes you over the bridge and into OBX.
The trip from Jackson, NJ should take about 6 hours.
Stay at Kitty Hawk RV Park http://www.kittyhawkrv.com at MP4. Friendly folks, reasonable rates, less than a block to the ocean.
Eat breakfast at Stack 'em High at MP 9.5 (NOT the one at MP4.5)
