Colorado 92 Blue Mesa to Hotchkiss

I am needing to take the detour around construction site at closure of U.S. Highway 50 between Gunnison and Montrose in July 2021. That is Colorado 92. I have a 25 ft travel trailer behind a Ford F150. Has anyone traveled that route this summer?

    We drove highway 92 from Blue Mesa area to Hotchkiss back in 2016. It was pretty hilly. Seems like it was up and down for quite the distance. We weren't towing, just drove our Class C

    Haven't taken it this year but we do from time to time. Not a bad road. The section north of the Black Canyon seems to go in and out of every drainage so not a high speed road. Do get gas before heading out, as I believe the first gas station is in Crawford and it's usually not too cheap.
