Corsicana area to Highway 287 through Fort Worth?

On my way to Wyoming from Louisiana last summer I took 82 across from near Texarkana to where it meets 287 outside Wichita Falls, then continued on 287 to Amarillo. At the time there was some significant construction work going on ground down rough pavement, uneven lanes, etc for several miles in the portion of 82 west of Sherman (lots of places with ground down pavement meeting small concrete bridges, then back to ground down pavement). That was 11 months ago, so one would hope it is better by now.
