Joe, I like your airplane story. I am a private pilot. My old CFI told me about flying a TriPacer on Floats from his home base in Oregon to Point Barrow back in the day. It was a nice story too.
We do plan to take a floatplane trip while we are there. Not sure where but I want that bucket list experience.
We do plan to do some hiking. We plan to do something, maybe NP Ranger guided where we can watch the bears. Really want to try my hand at Salmon fishing.
Want to check out all the historical downtowns in southeast.
