I did not start the topic. I simply pointed out the usual reaction to it, which ignores the facts that travelers get killed all over the world. Last year 900 Australians were killed abroad by some means or another, the country actually has the highest rate of tourism deaths in the world. Maybe it has a lot with risky lifestyles, don't you think. I have relatives in Austarlia and friends in Australia. In my experience Australians on the whole tend to more of risk takers than most.
