- navegatorExplorerThe State of Sinaloa is not the safest to go off the beaten path or go outside the regular tourist enclaves where foreigners are "safe", most of the gringos that run into foul play are looking for something other than a place to go surfing, but the DNA will tell if they are the missing.
navegator - TequilaExplorerHate to say it, but surfers tend to engage in risky behaviour. Mind you they coudl have just as easly set their own rig on fire from the description of what they had in there. Guess we have to wait see if its foul play.

- TripalotExplorerHeard this morning that one of the girlfriends is on her way from
Edmonton to Mexico to meet the other wife(girlfriend) and to try and get some answers. Mexican and Australian authorities have been notified. - navegatorExplorerThe town of Navolato is west of Culiacan in the State of Sinaloa on the road to the coast, those small coastal towns are not too good to get into.
From what I read in the last post in Spanish, to bodies were found by villagers in a dirt road, the vans has a lot of cans and a bicycle, the local authorities and the federal government are investigating.
Let us hope for the best for them.

Now that's funny! - tony_leeExplorerFrom another newspaper
“They'd been keeping in touch with us on Facebook the whole way down, and last Friday they just stopped,” said Chris Coutu, another close friend in Edmonton.
Friends suspect the avid surfers were camping and searching for areas to surf while making their way to Guadalajara. Dean and Adam were driving a white and blue campervan with an Alberta license plate.
“They have been reported to authorities and are now officially classed as missing persons,” said Cox.
Cox is working with Adam’s girlfriend who is already in Mexico, trying to find leads.
On Saturday morning, they found some distressing information online. Two stories, writen in Spanish, have been posted with a picture of a burned out van that looks like the one that belonged to the men, in an area that they could have travelled through.
“And there was two bodies found inside. They haven't confirmed what sex, who they are or anything. They also found an electric stove. The boys are carrying a gas stove, not electric,” said Cox.
Cox is heading to Mexico on Sunday where she and Adam’s girlfriend will search for the pair.
“We'll be going day to day and any new information that comes in we'll probably just be going from there,” said Cox.
Be interesting to find the stories written in Spanish with the photos
I posted it here because it is relevant to a Mexico forum and given the number of NBorth Americans in that area, it could be that someone spotted their fairly distinctive vehicle which has one red door on the back - tony_leeExplorer

But to answer your question - which was pretty easy to answer yourself since you obviously could see the facebook page with all the information. . Josie Cox is the girlfriend of one of the boys. She lives in Edmunton (sp??) and her boyfriend also spends a lot of time there. - navegatorExplorerSince it says OZ maybe they went on the yellow brick road.
