We eat at Cracker Barrel from time to time when on the road, it's nice that they have a place to park the RV, instead of having to park on the shoulder with the flashers on while DW runs into Wendy's....
For those of you who remember Howard Johnson's, Cracker Barrel is the new Howard Johnson's. The experience is consistent from store to store, always clean, friendly, etc. The food is OK, not high quality but never bad, and always consistent. What draws folks is the consistency of a chain and a brand, same thing that built McDonald's. You know the food isn't going to be great, but you know it's not going to suck either.
