Get a local to take you, or you will NEVER find the place. Yes, it is awesome food and portions, but not very visible from the street.
Shari's, Applebees, ....others are right....nothing like Cracker Barrel. I wonder why they haven't come to Oregon!!!!! If you're in Bend,Oregon, look up Jake's Diner.........best home cooking EVER! - PadlinExplorerCome on, there must be somewhere on the west coast that specializes in runny eggs.
- 2012ColemanExplorer IIThe words Qracker Barrel and quality crossed my mind at tbhe same time once - before eating there the first time. Hole in the wall places serve much better food. My FIL took me to a place in Middleberg once - every one in the place including kids was wearing at least one item of camoflage - most were covered head to toe. Best breakfast I ever had.

- MurphsmomExplorerThere is a new Cracker Barrel going in near the Costco in Nampa, Idaho. Good freeway access. It looks like it shouldn't be too long before they open. Can't wait to see if it is like the one I went to in Ohio a few years ago....first time I ever had grits with breakfast.

- coolbreeze01ExplorerThe Black Bear Diner chain might be similar.

There is nothing like Cracker Barrel except Cracker Barrel, and they aren't here. For the same type and quality of food in a chain, you might try Shari's.
There is NO Chain in the NW that serves food like Cracker Barrel! I see Cracker Barrel as Comfort Food. Good but not great and consistent.
Much like Waffle House, not somewhere i want to eat every meal, but some good food at a reasonable price.
Closest to the NW, in in Boise, ID.
