Crawford SP, KS to Twin Bridge SP, OK

Thinking of going to Crawford SP, KS for a spell and then on to Twin Bridge SP, OK. And I come to understand that there is road construction and detours along that route. I could very well be misinformed, but rather avoid a potential problem if possible. The next leg of our trip would be on to Roaring River SP, MO.
Does anyone know of any difficulties this route might present? And how are the parks? Okalahoma's web/reservation site leaves something to be desired as far as camp site info/pics. Kansas looks pretty nice and am familiar with MO's SP's.
