Talleyho69 and others; warning; Obregon truck route to the left as one gets into town is absolutely unbelieveable pot holes and craters big enough to lose a geo or bend your tow bar. One must navigate 3 lanes of traffic from one side to the other to the best of your driving ability.
There is more concrete to drive on; how relaxing. No lines or anything fancy but a real shoulder. Lots of construction as they get ready to join the concrete slabs.Nothing new here; just every one in the same two lanes on one side of the freeway or the other.
Typically the rest of the way down requires line straddle or out right driving in the passing lane. Our passengers and skippers have felt they have been at sea all day. You will feel the humidity about 60 miles north of Mazatlan. It was 79 degrees at 8pm.
The short cut; well it was not that short, we took a wrong turn. It was apparent quite soon and after 45 minutes had the rigs turned around. It is simply a half circle around town. Turn left on the road into Guymas (sp) where it says airport. Stay on that road until a large intersection of the 4 way stop variety and turn right and go up the hill; this leads you back to the main exit(bottom of hill) of Guymas where you make a left. Stay on this with no turns and you will be on 15 cuota.
Early in the morning there is quite a bit of traffic, the road is not smooth or new, the sun is blinding and if you don't make a wrong turn, it probably does save time.
Canadian Rainbirds; I thought you were coming by Durango, did not know you were in San Carlos. We will be in San Fernando (directly to the left as you come in the gate) for most if not all of the winter.
We left San Carlos at approx 6:10, I'm in the tag axle Foretravel, cruised between 56 and 60 mph where possible, and got in the park after fueling up just as darkness settled. We had three short stops accounting for no more than 45 minutes.
