I've encountered mobs of armed protesters walking around with AR-15, mod AKs and shotguns - in the Dallas area. Within the past year.
The "I can carry my guns anywhere - even into your business" movement is growing in Texas.
As my first Chief told me back in the early 70s - you need to learn about where you are planning to go - and keep your eyes open. Don't get involved in local political discussions / matters. Sometimes you just need to move on.
Made some short cross border trips from Texas this summer and winter. Will go farther into Mexico in the future, with the TT.
