In June you'll just be driving the main roads. There's nothing else for a reason to stop. Other times of the year you can do off-roading or hiking.
How can you not stop at Badwater Basin? Take the Artists Drive loop? There is so much more to DV than Scottys Castle saying it is 'just a drive' is an injustuce.
My wording wasn't good. We absolutely love Death Valley and have been there many times so I don't mean to put down DV. I was just thinking that since Scotty's Castle is closed and it is June with extreme temperatures for any hiking, that driving is all they will be doing. Yes, Badwater and Artists Drive are great. My point being, they will be driving. If they were going out of their way to visit Death Valley there could be other places with more interest at that time of year.
