I'd sure want to investigate carefully--and I would not go unless there were at least 3 well equipped units traveling. I would want triple redundancy.
I doubt my class C would be a good choice for such a journey. (Some how I think calling CAA would not be possible)
Remember too, that propane would be of no use below -42 C (-44 F) unless there were seriously good tank heaters.
#1 diesel gels at -40 C, so an aquahot unit would not be suited either.
I know you are an experienced cold weather camper, but -50....is a whole other world.
