Will be passing through Denver tomorrow heading east. Trying to decide whether to take I-76 or I-70 after Denver. Thinking about picking up a US route instead of either interstate. Maybe I-76 to near Lincoln and then dropping down to either US 136 or US 36?
Other option is take I-70 until we enter KS and then cross over to US 36?
The last portion of the trip, I know I want to pick up US 24 in Illinois to take across Indiana.
Mainly my concern is to have nice roads instead of a lot of pot holes. Would welcome your suggestions. Thank you
This has been a good route out of - or into Denver. Use the I-to get me out of Colorado - roads have a habit of taking the winter hard - all the Way to Hannibal then once you get on the East side of the Mississippi you need to Stay on the I's or you just lose too much time. Rt 36 on the West side of the River tends to be Good and less traffic - Smooth - sailing.
Hope this is of some help,
Hi Busskipper - that looks like what I was thinking of. Thanks!
