Diesel Fuel: Hwy 64 in North Carolina

I am making my first trip to camp at Cape Hatteras, NC in the near future and am planning out my route and fuel stops with a crew cab pickup and 35' travel trailer. Once I get outside of Raleigh it looks like I will be on Hwy 64 until I get to the island and was wondering if anyone knows of any diesel fueling stations, truck stops, etc. on 64 east of Raleigh. I would prefer to top off around Plymouth, NC and that should get me the rest of the way.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  • There are 2 Hess stations in Plymouth and one of them sells diesel, I think it is the 2nd one on Hiway 64. You will have no trouble fueling up. If you can make it to Nags Head there is a Shell station right before you get there and they have diesel also.
  • Go to Gasbuddy and you can find stations and what the current price is. It's a great tool when traveling, especially if you have a smart phone and can get coverage while traveling.
