You can get a 10 year permit on a truck & camper if you do it online. You will need a US address to have it sent to. I know people who have done it. If you want to be safe, remove the jacks from the camper, before entering, but you can still get away with it, easy. I have known people who have been giving a 10 year, even at the border on a Truck & Camper, although they will normally consider it as a truck carrying cargo.
