We run a filter system under our kitchen sink, that feeds to a small faucet that is mounted in the hole that most sinks have. First is a 5 micron, the second, a .5 micron coconut charcoal filter. This provides us with very safe drinking water for ourselves and our pets. That is what we use for cooking and drinking. All else, teeth, dishes, showers, we use what comes in with the hose. Easy, very safe, no nasty tastes, no bleach to mess with, and no 5 gallon jugs anymore. One set of filters, although we always carry a spare set, easily lasts us 4 months in Mexico. We have done this for over 10 years now, and have seen many others go to this easy system.
