Driving PCH (Highway 1) from Valencia to San Francisco

Would like to know if anyone has driven north up Highway 1 from Valencia to San Francisco with a 29' travel trailer. Any suggestions on places to see and stay would be greatly appreciated. We are doin...

We were thinking of doing the same thing with our rig, but from Santa Cruz south. Then I saw that much of Highway 1 south of Big Sur is under construction. Anyone driven through this construction recently? Having second thoughts . . .
