Durango, CO to Grand Junction, CO without using Hwy 550?

Wondering if anyone has driven the route from Durango, CO to Grand Junction, CO? I know from experience to avoid Highway 550, AKA the Million Dollar Highway. Not sure if it even has the clearance and ...

Route 141 is a windy 2 lane road that goes thru canyons, follows the river and basically makes a big 'S'.

Great motorcycle riding.

I would tow my 5th wheel on it...but I LIKE driving secondary/backroads. Even enjoyed 550 several times NB/SB
