Yep just stay on 10.

The big problem with I 10 thru El Paso is that its like a snake.
Alot of back and forth zig zag. The locals go thru pretty fast.
They also change lanes a thousand times. Just stay in your lane and
pray the locals don't want your spot.

Thanks to all,just wanted to hear from the experienced traveler,heard that El Paso was difficult. Most cities are ok as long as you stay in your lane and go with the flow before or after rush hour.We are headed west Feb 20,need to get out of here.Thanks again John R.

I 10 is best route.
Stay in a middle lane and you'll do fine.

Not sure if you are headed west or east? Either way I would stay on I 10. If heading east bound avoid the I 10 from 3pm- 7 pm. I would stay on the far left lane, especially when approaching the Cotton exit, if you are on the wrong lane you will be heading into Mexico or north to New Mexico (Alamogordo ). If heading west avoid the morning traffic 8-9am.

I 10 thru El Paso is in places sometime 3 lanes, sometimes4 lanes, and sometimes 5 lanes wide. Hit town about 10 am and you will never slow down on I 10.... about 15 mins and it's in your rear view mirror. Next place for traffic on 10....Tucson (if your headed that far).

Agree, stay on I-10, really isn't that bad of a drive. I mean it ain't Dallas or Houston.....

I took the 375 bypass and “lane hog” is right. It was quite a climb. I haven’t tried I-10 but will next time.

There was a post a while back about the proper lane to be in so that you do no lane switching through town - but I'm not sure whether that was east of west bound. Maybe just follow an 18 wheeler and hope that driver is not a "hot rod." And obviously avoid morning / evening rush hour.
