Years ago, I worked near Eugene and made the trip home to Helena, MT very frequently (every couple weeks) and used this route as it was the best for speed. In my opinion, the routes that are best for speed are usually not the best for sightseeing. So, what is your goal??
If I were making that drive today with my coach and not in a hurry, I'd take a real hard look at US20 - US95 - US12.
