FMM in Tijuana

Walked across the border to Tijuana last week to get pesos and our FMM's.

The pedestrian crossing is still in the same location, to the east of the car crossing. New building, nice set up, and FAST!

Got our 180 day permits, they took credit cards (this varies from year to year) paid our 332p each.

As always, asked if we needed to return them when we left the country, and were asked,"Why? They expire."

Got 15000p from the ATM at HSBC with an 18p charge, and the exchange rate, with the fee, was 16.41.

All set to go next week!

I wonder how they would do that.

  • Yes, as you enter, if you look at all like a tourist, you are sent to the right, and asked for your passport. We were the only ones there on a Friday morning.

    No clue about Tijuana Tilly's.
  • Is that bar "Tijuana Tilly's" still in TJ? Remember it from my Navy days.
