There is an immigration shift happening right now with more and more people (Mexicans and Americans) moving to Mexico full time. For some its opportunity for others its a break in the noise of everything thats going on up there. Net zero migration numbers last year which means more people moved to Mexico from the USA than from Mexico to the USA (2013)

A lot of people who are going North are probably from other countries further south using Mexico as a conduit.

I'd be willing to bet the "zero net migration" numbers don't take into account that migration going north is significantly undocumented whereas migration into Mexico is very well documented. Very few Canadians and Americans are slipping under the fence on their way south

Regardless, anything that brings manufacturing jobs to Mexico is a good thing. Hopefully someday the average Mexican will be able to afford one of the cars made there
