Fossit OR to Mitchell OR

We have a 38 foot coach and flat tow an HHR. Does anyone know of hazards on the highway? ie Tunnels, underpass height, etc??? After leaving Mitchell we plan on going on to Chiloquin, OR. Again, are there any hazards we should be aware of.

Our other option is going from Fossil to Antelope then down to Chiloquin. Same questions

Thanks
Laura

All the roads out there can handle big trucks, so a big RV is no big deal. Some of the roads go up and down with curves, so take your time and pull over when possible to let the traffic go by.

Have you been to Shaniko, Oregon? Hwy 218 and 97. It is an interesting little ghost town.

I too love to ride my motorcycle out in the NE corner of Oregon. It's so scenic and peaceful.
  • Those are some great roads. I included both in an "iron butt" challenge. 1000 miles per in less than 24hrs on motorcycle. Some twisty stuff but nothing limiting you.
  • Thank you! We figure it is better to ask first! We leave Condon tomorrow and will go now as the spirit moves us!
  • Either way is fine. If you do go to Mitchell you need to go west then south to Chiloquin.
Take your time and enjoy the trip. I grew up in Redmond and miss the high desert!
