I don't know if this is true, an urban legend or good-practice rules for semis as he got a few drinks already as he was telling this to us. But he is a veteran trucker and own his rig.
He said that if they lose brakes, they would rather ram and sacrifice the car of truck infront of them than swerve with better survival rate for himself-lower collateral injuries to others on the road.
Off topic but it just good to know and be aware for us RVers going on the same lanes with them.
