from Clarksville, TN to Elkhart ID
Traveling from TN border to Elkhart and REALLY want to avoid Louisville and Indianapolis. Would 41 highway be a good choice part way???

What you put was Elkhart, IDAHO.
If you meant Indiana.... take Pennyrile Parkway up to Henderson, KY. Then pick up I-69 in Evansville. Take I-69 to Indianapolis (not much way to avoid it) and US 31 to South Bend and US 20 over to Elkhart.
41 is incredibly congested and will be a very slow trip.
