Garden State Parkway service area rest breaks
Does anyone know the story on staying for several hours, or even overnight, at a Garden State Parkway service area? Is it allowed? Is it advisable? Is any one better than another?

Just make sure that you are not parked in the commuter lot section of the rest area in the early AM rush....if you do you will find yourself boxed in very quickly.
I drive to the Cheesequake rest area and catch a bus to NYC daily and at least twice a year there will be a RV boxed in because all the commuters parked around the RV to cath a bus while RV people are sleeping....The lots will be almost full by 6:30am
If you stop in the Cheesequake, Monmouth & Forked River rest areas look for the Academy bus sighns...that is the commuter lot so don't park there.
