I did not comply very well for the first 4 weeks (could stand a bit on the cast and it didn't hurt and it made things so much more convenient (no nurse at my house)); X-ray at 4 week mark showed that the break had enlarged. The doctor and I chose not to do surgery; medical literature shows that conservative treatment of a break like mine is usually just as effective as surgery.

Thanks for the reminder. And I know to let it be...but geeezus...12 weeks. And I had 6 weeks in the RV planned after Mexico. I want to swear....
