I am living in Mexico City at the moment, I have asked and spoken to the persons placing my purchases in the bags at the check out counter if they got a salary from the store, answer "no", the same conversation for the person offering to push my cart at Costco or the parking attendant at Walmart, so I give them 10 pesos, that is $0.50 American cents, that is not much for me but makes a big differenve to them.
The traffic disruptions afect the poor more than anyone else, how many that live in the outlying towns and travell to work are not able to reach the job in time or not at all and are either docked the day or fired because of this dumb protests that the government does not even care, the politicos have access to all the fuel they want, they are the politicos.
