Gatlinburg tn route
Whats the best route to take comming from central east Illinois to gatlinburg tn... mainly to avoid big mountain pulls..

Cosby is east of G'burg so stay on 40 to exit 435 and go in to Greenbriar from that side. It's a bit longer in distance but you miss the very heavy traffic on the main drag. You will have no issue with the grades and roads here. Good choice on the campground too.
